Inventory management

The Re-Order-It module has been developed by Alltrace. Re-Order-It utilizes both IoT hardware and software to develop effective inventory management solutions. These solutions are integrated with a variety of systems including WMS, ERP, and other related systems. The basics of the system are based on real time inventory scanning or on a kanban system

Overview of inventory module

Kanban and/or scanning

We all know stock taking by manual scanning once a while standard inventory mode. The alternative is to scan with each consumption of an item. That last method demands a high scanning discipline from your staff.

The best alternative so far we use is a kanban system. Kanban – think of it as the shop-floor’s “empty milk carton.” When the last carton is taken from the fridge you put it on the table so someone knows to buy more.
In logistics terms: a Kanban is just a clear, visual signal (often a card, tote label or barcode scan) that says “Item X, Quantity Y, Location Z – refill now.”


No complex software, no big meetings, the signal travels backwards through the chain and triggers delivery or production only when stock has actually been used.
The result: shelves stay full enough to work, but never over-full, so cash is not tied up in excess inventory.

Re-Order-It RFID kanban board

The Reorderit e-Kanban board is a state-of-the-art tool that includes an RFID reader and a user-friendly touch screen interface. Upon placing a card on the e-board, the embedded RFID chips are automatically detected, facilitating seamless inventory management. The board communicates through reliable 4G and WiFi connectivity to a centralized database that continuously monitors all boards and cards.

The system also supports remote updates for enhanced flexibility and adaptability. Logistics replenishment orders are generated at preconfigured intervals through the database. In addition, the touch screen interface provides real-time feedback to empower employees with critical information for informed decision making.

QR code or barcode scanning

Scanning the inventory or scanning the consumed items is a way of keept track of you inventory levels. Our Progressive Web App (pwa) allows you to ether just take the inventory or add orders directly via our intuitive scan app. Orders are visible and can be added via our backoffice before sending it to your ERP or WMS system.
